We are happy to present our Newsletter 02-2006 to you. Our goal is to inform you about the latest development of products and concepts in the area of special hoisting solutions. This edition of our news letter shows you special lifting products in various applications.
Van Leusden delivered special Rack and Pinion Trolley/hoist unit for very narrow curved monorails.
Projecting hoisting equipment into narrow spaces is always a challenge. In the offshore market efficiency is of big importance. Therefore, the demand to increase the hoisting area covered by one hoisting unit, -instead of two-, is becoming a more and more important issue.
The solution for a maximum hoisting area can be that of using curved tracks. With such tracks you can cover a larger area in a module or ship. The combination; curved tracks and trim or list operation angle, is an even bigger challenge. For a certain operation angle you can use a toothrack travel system. In combination with curves, you must use curved toothracks. In fact a very special application, since toothracks are in common situations only available as straight drive systems.
Van Leusden is able to manufacture curved tracks and hoisting units for these applications.

Van Leusden is your specialist in Explosion protected hoisting equipment. We manufacture Trolleys and Hoists with Non Sparking protection up to EX Class II 2 G IIB T4 as a standard and IIC T4 as a special solution. Non Sparking explosion protection is a delicate matter. Van Leusden has the expertise to manufacture standard hoisting equipment for the application in explosion hazardous environments. In combination with Non Corrosive solutions, this product has found it's way into the Offshore market already.

Are you looking for a high capacity chain hoist? You have found the right solution partner. We are able to build electric, pneumatic or hydraulic chain hoists with a SWL up to 32 ton in 2/1 and 64 ton in 4/1 reeving. These items are always custom built.
